Sneak Peek at Steph Curry x Under Armour Range Unlimited Golf Collection
Steph Curry loves golf almost as much as he loves dropping three-pointers and hoisting Larry O’Brien NBA Championship trophies. His passion for the game of golf runs deep and he has legit skills. Over the past couple of years, he has held his own in Korn Ferry Tour events and partnered with Howard University to launch the school’s first Division I golf program. He has also teamed up with Under Armour on a capsule golf apparel and footwear collection.
The first UA Range Unlimited Collection was released last fall and Steph debuted the newest drop of the collection this past weekend at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship, where he finished in fourth place.
Building off the first UA Range Unlimited Collection, these new styles boast polished performance pieces that feature UA Golf’s leading product technologies. Each of the polos and the 5-pocket Chino pants are made with stretchy and quick-drying UA Vanish materials.
At the ACC, Steph sported a fairly monochromatic color palette. Friday’s round saw the 6-time NBA All-Star in a head-to-toe black outfit with the sleeves of the polo covered in an all-over micro print. On Saturday, Steph turned to the Hazard Polo, a black and grey color-blocked design with a splash of lime green on the small collar. Curry saved the best for last, though. He carded a sizzling final round 69 (or 26 points if you prefer the modified Stableford scoring) in the new Monarch Polo inspired by California’s state flower, the poppy.
The 3-time NBA Champ also laced up a golf-specific version of his Curry 6 shoes, which are adapted with the UA Golf Rotational Resistance TPU outsole. While a dark grey colorway of the Curry 6 SL is expected to be part of the upcoming UA Range Unlimited release, Steph rocked custom versions of the shoe at the Lake Tahoe event. Friday’s pair featured “#BLACKLIVESMATTER” on the mid-sole and images of legendary African-American golfers adorned Saturday’s kicks.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; Steph is the best-dressed Under Armour ‘golfer’ (Attn: Jordan Spieth) and the Range Unlimited Collection is Under Armour’s most stylish golf collection. The pieces in the capsule are fun, modern, and athletic while playing within traditional golf fashion rules.
Select pieces from the UA Range Unlimited Collection are available now at UA.com and Under Armour Brand Houses across North America, Asia and Europe, as well as at select pro shops across the United States. The full collection will release in August 2020 via the Under Armour Golf page.
Being a Brit, I have no real idea who Steph curry is,😉. Some nice ideas & kit here as I’ve never really been excited about UA golf clothes except there excellent quarter zip tops, which get worn all the year round here. Won’t get me out of my Jordan’s though.
