Ahh, the holiday gift guide; a tradition unlike any other. Every brand, media outlet and person with an Instagram account has one. How is GolfThreads’ Holiday Gift Guide different? Instead of compiling some PR-driven list of products, the GolfThreads Crew has decked the halls with fashionable jackets, shirts, pants, shoes, and accessories that are actually on our holiday gift lists.
So, what do Greg, Michael, and Janice want to see under their trees? Take a look at these 21 gift ideas for the stylish golfer in your life.

Greg’s List
Greyson Sweaters
Sporty pullovers have dominated the golf layering game over the past few years, but Greyson’s range of knitwear is making me love sweaters again. With the major championships landing in cool climates this past summer, the Greyson guys had plenty of opportunities to show up and show out in the brand’s luxurious Cashmeres and Merinos. Erik van Rooyen and Luke Donald certainly did their parts to bring back sweaters to the course. The great thing about Greyson’s range of sweaters is there is something for everyone. You can dial up your look with colorful patterns or take a more traditional route with classic crewnecks and quarter-zips.
Royal Albartross Balzo Belts

Speaking of Erik van Rooyen, it is a little known fact that he and other members of the Greyson wolfpack have been accessorizing their stylish ‘fits with Royal Albartross’ Balzo Belts this season. By now you know braided elastic belts are ‘in’ and the Balzo offers a refined attitude with a Palladium-coated buckle and Italian calf leather trim. The black, navy and grey colorways cover virtually all of your wardrobe needs.
Linksoul Grapevine T-Shirt & Classic Flannel Overshirt

I can’t always wear golf clothes (or at least that is what I’m told), which is why I’m thankful Linksoul is cranking out ridiculously comfy gear for anything but golf. The Grapevine Tee gives off some serious California winter vibes with the snowcapped mountains and the bear trudging across the landscape. Even here in Cali, wearing just a t-shirt during winter will leave you shivering like Clark Griswold in a cold attic, which is why Linksoul’s new Flannel Overshirts are smart companions to their tees.
Vuori Kore Shorts
Sadly, Mother Nature is putting a quick end to the golf season, so it is time to hit the gym to build speed, power, and flexibility for next season. When it comes to workout gear, I had a strong loyalty to a particular sneaker brand until I gave the Vuori Kore Shorts a try. Now, they are the only workout shorts I wear.
Available in 7” and 5” lengths, the Kore Shorts are more tailored than your typical gym shorts and have a super comfy liner. Don’t worry; they aren’t as short as the ones Larry Bird rocked in 1982, but they aren’t as baggy as the Chris Webber fit from the early 1990s, either.
RLX Ralph Lauren Tech Wool Hybrid Hoodie

Create a glorious mashup of two of the biggest layering trends and you have the RLX Tech Wool Hybrid Hoodie. RLX’s Tech Wool hybrid jackets have been mainstays in the label’s outerwear collection for several years and worn by fashionable dudes like Billy Horschel and Justin Thomas. For 2019, the Tech Wool Hybrid gets a slight reboot with a half-zip front, a trendy blue camo pattern, and a warm hood. Rock this on the course, for a winter jog, or around town. This caught my attention at the PGA Show and it is finally cold enough to slip it on. (Images via TrendyGolf)
State Apparel Competition Pants
Looking back in the archives, I first wrote about State Apparel’s Competition Pants in 2014. Not much has changed with the Competition Pants in the past five years, but they are still the best winter golf pants I have found. Made for taking on rain, wind, mud, and temps under 55 degrees, they are a bit heavier than your typical golf pants. The tri-layer performance fabric is water, wind, and wrinkle resistant, and they have built-in cleaning panels in the cuffs and front and rear pockets where you can clean clubs and golf balls. They are also made in our backyard here in San Francisco. If this winter is anything like last winter, I’ll need a couple of more pairs.
Michael’s List
johnnie-O Payton Striped Crewneck Sweater

The Camel color of this sweater is so groovy now. Pair this with navy trousers and you have a “wear-anywhere” outfit. In fact, until further notice, I’m retiring my 1/4 zips and v-neck sweaters and going strictly with crewnecks. The Payton Striped Crewneck Sweater will be getting heavy play in my rotation if I find it under the tree.
TravisMathew Beckladdium Pants
Take my favorite shorts, TravisMathew’s Beck, and turn them into pants? No brainer. I’ll take one in every color, please! The Blue Nights Beckladdium Pants would look sharp with the sweater above, don’t you think?
TRUE Linkswear OG Premium

True Linkswear took their Iconic True Original and splurged on all the materials to create the OG Premium. As a result, they created one of the most unique and finest golf shoes on the market. My favorite feature of this shoe is the Top-cut Venezian Waterproof leather. This high-grade leather actually makes the shoes look better the more you wear them. Plus, if you are like me and prefer a wide toe box, then these shoes are for you. With the same day, free shipping, and a 30-day, risk-free trial, what are you waiting for? True will be offering 20% off for Black Friday weekend, as well as a Mystery Box, which could be a really fun gift to buy yourself.
Cuater THE DAILY

Every guy should own a pair of Cuater’s THE DAILY. Including THIS guy! They are the perfect casual, go-with-everything shoes. They come in wool and mesh uppers. The wool version adds a bit of texture and warmth for the season. These are super comfy, incredibly useful, and really freaking rad.
adidas Frostguard Quilted Competition Jacket

If you read my review of the adidas Frostguard Insulated Jacket, you know how impressed I was with it. Why wouldn’t I want the Quilted pullover version of this jacket? The entire Frostguard series from adidas Golf is a must-own for cold-weather golfers like me.
Bonobos Highland Golf Pants in Greenwich Plaid
If you want to be the best-dressed guy at your holiday parties this year, these Bonobos pants are for you (and me). The Greenwich Plaid makes a statement (just make sure you pair these with a solid color top–white is preferable). Nobody offers more pant sizes and fit options than Bonobos. In fact, I highly recommend you get to one of their stores to be fitted. While you are there, grab yourself a Clubhouse Stretch Belt. You’ll thank me later.
FootJoy Printed Woven Yoke Half Zip Hoodie

Truth be told, I love a good hoodie. The FootJoy Printed Woven Yoke Half Zip Hoodie tops my list. This performance mid-layer is designed for golf and boasts enough style to be a statement piece off the course too.
Jones FC Weekend Duffle

Last spring I bought a new golf bag from Jones and it might’ve been my favorite golf purchase of the year. I was super stoked with the quality, design and minimalist styling (the guys at Jones are super righteous, too). With the PGA Merchandise Show coming up in January, I think the FC Weekend Duffle will be the perfect bag to transport all of my new gear from Boston to Orlando. I might fly coach but this bag will have me traveling in style!
Janice’s List
Lilly Pulitzer Velour Pant & Matching Zip Jacket

This is a stylish outfit for keeping cozy yet looking stylish at the home office, running errands, sipping coffee, relaxing on weekends and perfect for travel. I’ll be packing it on my next golf vacation. Machine washable too.
Lululemon Now and Always Tote

The Lululemon Now and Always Tote in jacquard camo also comes in three additional colorways. Water repellent fabric is ideal for office/travel commuting, and an interior padded pocket fits a 15-inch laptop. Another pocket holds your water bottle, plus an expandable gusset lets you adjust capacity.
G/Fore Circle G Leggings

G/Fore Circle G leggings in navy are super soft with a mid-rise, reinforced waistband, 7/8 length and have plenty of stretch. The zipper closure at the base of the ankles adds a style detail that takes these leggings from the gym to the driving range and beyond. I’m throwing a skirt over mine to add a little warmth playing winter golf in Cali.
Bogner Hazell Knit Jacket
Bogner Hazell knit jacket sadly cannot be found on the Bogner US website, but fear not because it is available from TrendyGolf. This hybrid jacket features stretch inserts making it a perfect layering piece for golf and skiing. Details such as a two-way zip, soft shell stand-up collar, color block sleeves, and inner soft brushed finish add style fit for any cocktail hour gathering.
Tiffany & Co. Table Tennis Paddles

Ahh, nothing says holiday gifting like a little blue box. However, Santa will need a big box when he brings me these Tiffany blue leather and reclaimed American walnut table tennis paddles. Tiffany artisans transformed ping pong paddles into a work of art, and heads will turn when I bring these out at our next party. I hope they’re not too nice to actually use.
The RLX hoodie has a great blend of blue hues.
