Adidas has created two versions of the Chaska edition TOUR360 BOOST for the competition. DJ will sport a white and black U.S. edition, while Sergio will counter with a black and white European version that is trimmed in yellow. The common design element between both is stars – a whole bunch of stars!
Johnson’s shoe features small black stars on the back and top line, small tonal stars on the 360Wrap, and confetti-like red and blue stars on the outsole. For Sergio, large white stars form an arch around the back of the shoe, while the circle of twelve stars from the European flag has been worked into the 360Wrap.
The TOUR360 BOOST has been one of my favorite shoes in 2016. From the BOOST technology to the 360Wrap and the TORSION TUNNEL, this is one high-performance shoe. At the same time, Adidas has kept the aesthetics clean and classic. The same can be said about the Chaska editions. While they pay tribute to the event and the teams, the patriotic symbols and designs have been executed in a very sophisticated way.
