Fred Couple’s ‘Signature Edition 1992’ ECCO Shoe for the Masters

It is difficult to believe that 23 years have passed since Fred Couples captured the 1992 Masters. It seems like just yesterday I was sitting in my dorm room watching the Masters, playing Jim Nantz drinking games and wondering how Freddie’s white dimpled pellet hung precariously on the bank of the 12th hole at Augusta National.

Co-designed by Couples, this Signature Edition model features a vibrant green and white color combo and is laser engraved with Freddie’s John Hancock on the lateral side.

“The Masters is a really special tournament for me and I always appreciate the support ECCO provides,” says Couples. “I thought we could do something really fun with the Casual Hybrid this year and am thrilled by the design we created.”

Couple’s new Casual Hybrid uses ECCO’s Direct-injection Process, which bonds the upper and outsole unit without the use of glue or stitching. This creates a firm, water-tight seal, lightweight flexibility and out-of-the-box comfort.
