Talking Willies, baseball, horses, belts and beauty tips…we run down all the golf fashion news from Quail Hollow!
Willie Mack III (Rhoback & FootJoy)
Say Hey, Willie Mack III! You knocked it out of the park with the design of your MyJoy Premier Series Tarlow’s. Willie’s Rhoback Fog Horn Q-Zip has me imagining the grace of Willie Mays patrolling centerfield at foggy Candlestick Park. I am a sucker for baseball nostalgia. Willie Mays is the greatest living baseball player and turned 92 on Sunday. Happy belated birthday, Say Hey Kid!
Wyndham Clark (Municipal & FootJoy)
This past January Wyndham Clark earned his first “Threadie” (coming in at number seven on our 2022 Best Dressed List). On Sunday Wyndham earned his first ever PGA Tour victory at the Wells Fargo Championship. Congratulations!
Sam Ryder (Greyson Clothiers & FootJoy)
Greyson Clothiers used nature as an inspiration to design this beautiful Floral Camo print.
Matthew NeSmith (Vineyard Vines & Nike Golf)
Mage might’ve won the Kentucky Derby this past weekend, but Matthew NeSmith won “Best Dressed” at the Quail Hollow Derby Party. The Vineyard Vines Run for the Roses Belt combines a chambray body with embroidered horses that is race ready. NeSmith paired it with the Magnolia Pink Palmero Polo (currently 45% off) for a magical look.
Rory McIlroy (Nike Golf)
Keeping with belts, I love when Rory rocks a House of Fleming exotic skin belt. It really elevates his look! Someone give me more information on this cashmere hoodie, please. It takes this fit and elevates it exponentially.
Austin Smotherman (Holderness & Bourne & Under Armour)
The Holderness & Bourne Fischer Belts have become my new favorite wear-everywhere stretch woven belts. They have a full leather front and chrome buckle that allows you to dress it up or keep it casual. The Navy and Red Microstripe Fischer Belt is the real MVP of this outfit. It adds texture and a subtle pop of color against the navy slacks to put this kit over the top.
Nico Echavarria (Original Penguin & FootJoy)
Just like Willie Mays, Original Penguin striped it up the middle with the addition of the delicate resort palm print throughout this eye-catchingly bold striped polo.
Austin Cook (Mizzen+Main & FootJoy)
Serious question: has anyone who has made the investment in BOA ever gone back? These FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon BOA look like the perfect blend of dialed in comfort and stability.
Tyson Alexander (Live Forever Golf & FootJoy)
By now you’ve heard about Live Forever Golf. If you haven’t you need to stop what you are doing and read my review. LFG is taking off. What you won’t want to take off is their Sunrise Performance Quarterzip, however. It feels good and will make you more handsome. We just can’t promise that it’ll make you as handsome as Tyson Alexander. Sorry.
Kurt Kitayama (Chervo & Boxto)
“Knockout Pink” packs a real punch if you want to stand apart from the crowd. Navy, white, and pink are the key colors for Chervo’s Summer Collection. It may be their best yet!
Mark Hubbard (TRUE Linkswear)
Dead man walking? Nah, that is just Mark Hubbard reppin’ the new TRUE Linkswear polos. They have taken the high-tech/minimalist aesthetic that they’ve popularized with their shoes and created a line of apparel that is TRUE to their roots. Minimalist design. Maximum comfort.
Rickie Fowler (Puma Golf)
For the first time in more than two years, Rickie Fowler is once again back inside the top 50 in the world! I like that Rickie matched his belt to his top. He has a tendency to wear a belt that matches his trousers and that draws attention to his shorter torso. Dress for your body type. Questions? Just ask.
Keith Mitchell (Sid Mashburn & FootJoy)
Once upon a time this space was reserved for EVR. Now it is your weekly dose of Cashmere Keith.
Great to see the weekly report back
Thanks, Jason. It is good to be back.
Keith has been the best dressed golfer on earth since he started wearing Sid. It is so good to see him finally get the love that he truly deserves. Hope to see him holding many trophies in the near future.
Couldn’t agree more, Cole. We’ve been card carrying members of the Cashmere Keith fan club all along. Seems like a great guy too. He is on my interview wish list this year. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
