This Week In Golf Fashion: 2022 Hot Stove Edition

This is my favorite time of the year; the PGA Tour Hot Stove season. The Hawaii swing gives us our first peek at who has switched brands for the new calendar year. Last week we saw a few big changes: Sam Burns to TravisMathew/Cuater and Harris English wearing Onward Reserve. Here are the other apparel switcheroos we’ve spotted.

The signing I was most excited about was Kevin Chappell to G/FORE. The deal I am most excited about? This G/FORE Floral Polo is currently discounted 50% off and available in all sizes! You’re welcome!! (FYI–We get no commission on sales. This is just a friendly GolfThreads PSA).

Jimmy Walker (Stitch Golf & FootJoy)

This one blew me away! It feels like Jimmy Walker has been wearing FootJoy apparel since Jimmie Walker was still on network television! Walker started wearing FJ in 2015, the year before he won the PGA Championship! Stitch Golf is another great fit for JW. The Kona Polo was a great choice for Honolulu.

Russell Knox (Dunning Golf)

Dunning Golf is a much better fit for Russell Knox. He never looked quite right in the pink whale….

Stewart Cink (Greg Norman Collection & FootJoy)

I know we covered Stewart Cink to Greg Norman Collection last week but this felt noteworthy because of the new FootJoy FJ Fuel, which looks ridiculously comfortable!

Awesome artwork is by Dave Baysden.

B. Draddy introduced the Brothers Draddy; an ambassador program that includes some really good dudes. PGA Tour members Victor Perez, Greyson Sigg, Taylor Moore, and our guy, Cody Gribble will all be taking part. And if this picture is any indication, it sounds like Draddy plans to have some fun this season!

Speaking of having some fun…..I think Cody Gribble needs to strap on this Smathers & Branson Beware of Gators Needlepoint Belt.

Louis Oosthuizen (Scales Gear & FootJoy)

Sweet-swinging-Louis will be wearing the Offshore Country Club Collection from Scales Gear. These ocean-inspired designs have got my attention.

Now that we’ve covered the Hot Stove transactions here are a few of the hottest looks from the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club….

What more can we say about EVR?! Except, ‘I am dyyying to get my hands on his signature shoe!’

Ryan Moore (TRUE Linkswear)

TRUE Linkswear OBVIOUSLY makes killer shoes but don’t (eternally) rest on their headwear. Especially this Dead Golfer design.

Brian Gay (G/FORE)

Keeping with skeletons on your noggin, this G/FORE Killer T’s Pink Snapback always makes a statement.

Haotong Li (Descente & FootJoy)

Looking for a kit that pairs well with a white belt? This works!

Finally, do you drink Tito’s vodka, love the Lone Star State, and wear your sunglasses with Croakies? If so, I found the perfect shirt for you!
