2020 Masters Apparel Scripts

Who is wearing what at Augusta

We’ve waited 19 long and crazy months to hear those famous words, “Fore, please! Now driving…” That’s right; the Masters is finally here! Sure, it’s a bit different. The ‘Tradition Unlike Any Other’ is now ‘The Masters Unlike Any Other.’ The vibrant azaleas have been exchanged for fall foliage and the roars of patrons have been replaced by deafening silence.

From the moment an autumn date was announced for the 2020 Masters, I wondered what it would mean for apparel and footwear brands. Many planned for months and years to showcase their best looks and limited edition gear on the backs and feet of the top players in the world. Would they stick with the original scripts they created for spring, or would they use Augusta’s rolling green fairways as a launching pad for cold weather fits and holiday gift ideas?

Now we have an answer, and it is, well, a little bit of both.

Justin Thomas (Ralph Lauren)

Classic threads, modern details, icy blues, and the return of an iconic bear from the ‘90s. JT will be in the running for best-dressed this week.

Favorite look: Thursday

Bryson DeChambeau (Puma Golf)

Puma is outfitting Bryson in a mix of spring and fall looks. Saturday’s polo pays homage to the azaleas dotting the landscape of the 13th hole while Sunday’s print includes the ‘P’ from Puma’s popular caps.

Favorite look: Saturday

Abraham Ancer (Black Quail)

Classic looks in colors that pop. Sunday’s Azalea Pullover is a true statement piece.

Favorite look: Saturday

Justin Rose (Bonobos)

Traditional stripes and checks followed by a dark and moody fall rose print.

Favorite look: Sunday

Gary Woodland (Puma Golf)

A salute to the troops during Veterans Day week with new pieces from Puma’s Volition America Collection, plus a tribute on Friday to the golden bell flowers surrounding the 12th hole.

Favorite look: Friday

Kevin Kisner (Peter Millar)

The soft lilac tops will complement Augusta’s scenery nicely. Friday’s Cloudglow Reversible Vest is a showstopper. The diamond-quilted exterior gives it a sophisticated look that works as well off the course as it does on it.

Favorite look: Friday

Victor Perez (Greyson Clothiers)

Classic solids, luxurious cashmeres, and trendy hues for Fall 2020. The Frenchman is donating $1000 for every birdie and $5000 for every eagle he makes in his Masters Tournament debut to the Community Foundation of the Central Savannah River Area COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund. As part of his GainsForGood initiative.

Perez’s sponsors, Greyson Clothiers and Modern Golf, will also be supporting the effort. Greyson has designed a limited edition logo on the left chest of his polos which will be worn by Perez during the Masters and symbolizes this charitable effort. A collection of polos with this logo will be sold by both Modern Golf and Greyson Clothiers, with all proceeds going to the GainsForGood initiative.

Favorite look: Friday

Billy Horschel (Ralph Lauren)

Hoodies, vests, hybrids, and pullovers. The always dapper Billy Horschel highlights the many stylish layers in Ralph Lauren’s Fall Collection.

Favorite look: Saturday

Brendon Todd (Stitch Golf)

Modern takes on traditional looks with muted neutrals, stripes, and micro prints. Versatile layers are practical and functional and add a pop of style to Todd’s kits.

Favorite look: Sunday

Rickie Fowler (Puma Golf)

Thursday’s polo pulls inspiration from the white dogwoods that line the 11th fairway. Sunday’s Tournament polo features a floral camo print comprised of the three flowers found in Amen Corner. Also, look for limited-edition kicks with a similar pattern.

Favorite look: Thursday

Lee Westwood (Peter Millar)

Cool blues and sandy neutrals. Expect Westwood to zip up Peter Millar’s new Crown Crafted Stealth Vest. Combining comfort, high performance, and a sleek aesthetic, the Stealth Vest looks great layered over a sweater or a polo.

Favorite look: Sunday

Erik van Rooyen (Greyson Clothiers)

Joggers at Augusta? We’re all in. EVR’s script showcases Greyson’s juxtaposition of styles. Peep the Rumson Jogger on Sunday. The sporty trouser receives an elevated look thanks to tonal tuxedo stripes on the sides and a tabbed waistband.

Chez Reavie (Peter Millar)

Berry hues feed into one of the major color trends of the season. The Cloudglow Reversible Vest in Carob Brown syncs well with all the navy blue in your closet.

Favorite look: Saturday

Matt Wallace (J.Lindeberg)

Sporty layers with the JL bridge logo offer a vintage vibe, but Thursday’s Golf Club Belt steals the show.

Favorite look: Thursday

Lanto Griffin (Galvin Green)

Striking prints topped off with clean layers.

Favorite look: Friday

Christiaan Bezuidenhout

Orange prints will match the fall foliage.

Brandt Snedeker

Trendy greens and navy blues. Look for Sneds to debut Peter Millar’s new Stealth Series trousers with a trimmer leg and shorter rise that translates into a more tailored fit.

Favorite look: Sunday

Max Homa (FootJoy)

FJ has leveled up its style game with trendy micro prints and stylish layers. Let’s be honest, though. It’s all about those shoes.
