Puma and Rickie Fowler are once again stepping up big time to honor Arnold Palmer at this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational. Puma will not only outfit Rickie in limited-edition gear at Bay Hill, but the brand also announced that it is launching a co-branded Puma x Arnold Palmer collection of apparel, footwear, and accessories to honor Mr. Palmer’s legacy for years to come.

The GolfThreads crew got a first-hand look at the limited-edition API gear and samples of the new Arnold Palmer Collection at the PGA Show. I’m stoked to finally be able to talk about it all. First, for the API apparel, footwear, and accessories Rickie will have in play this week.
IGNITE PROADAPT Palmer Shoes
Rickie has been sporting the IGNITE PROADAPT model in various colorways for more than a year. The limited-edition Palmer model is designed to pay homage to Mr. Palmer’s legendary golf career and love of aviation. The white colorway with blue accents and a silver form stripe colorway is inspired by Mr. Palmer’s favorite plane to fly, the first production Cessna 750 Citation X. The medial side displays “N1AP”, the tail number of his plane, while the lateral side has 6 windows, the same number as one side of the Cessna. Mr. Palmer’s unmistakable signature is joined by the Puma cat logo on the sockliner.
IGNITE NXT Arnie Camo Shoes
The outsole, heel and collar lining of these shoes feature a unique, four-color camo design in the same colors that make up Palmer’s iconic Umbrella logo. Like the IGNITE PROADAPT model, the sockliner features Mr. Palmer’s signature and the Puma cat logo.
API Camo Snapback Cap
Rickie’s signature cap gets an addition in the form of the iconic umbrella logo layered on an embroidered ‘P’. It’s available in five bold camo colorways, including a purple in honor of International Women’s Day, which takes place during the 2020 API.
N1AP Rope Cap
We don’t have to tell you that rope hats are dope right now. Again, the tail number of Palmer’s plane comes into play in an all-over print covering the cap. Look for it in light blue, pink, and white colorways.
Bay Hill & Latrobe City Caps
Another retro design with an old school script that was found on sports caps thirty years ago. A white Bay Hill version featuring pink lettering and green accents and a white Latrobe version with green lettering and pink accents pay homage to two places synonymous with Mr. Palmer’s legacy.
API Puma + Vessel Stand Bag
Vessel won our Style Award for Favorite Bags at the PGA Show and this is another example of the great custom bags the brand is cranking out. The Limited-Edition Cobra x Vessel Tour Stand Bag comes in a white and green colorway, featuring a unique Arnie Camo pattern (mimicking the NXT Arnie shoes) inspired by the colors from his iconic Umbrella logo.
It is designed with all the necessary on-course features of a Tour Staff bag, including heavy-duty zippers, durable PU material and a single strap for easy carrying, but in a much lighter package.
Puma x Arnold Palmer Collection
Beyond the 2020 API tournament gear, Puma Golf is hosting a “trunk show” onsite showcasing key pieces from its first, co-branded Puma x Arnold Palmer collection of apparel, footwear, and accessories. Attendees at the tournament will be able to pre-order the gear ahead of the official launch in June 2020.
Announced last year during the 2019 API, the Puma x Arnold Palmer collection was designed to offer a modern take on the classic styles Mr. Palmer wore during his career with added details that tell the story of “A Life Well Played.” The Puma product and design teams visited both Latrobe and Bay Hill to gather inspiration for the collection, listening to stories from Arnie’s family, friends, and business associates. We got a look at the collection of elevated polos, layering pieces, pants, shorts, accessories, and footwear at the PGA Show and it is the real deal. Keep an eye out for more details in a couple of months.
Ultimate Golf Package Sweepstakes
Puma has partnered with the Arnold Palmer team to once again raise funds for the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation, creating the Ultimate Golf Package that will be included in a sweepstakes and open to anyone who donates to support the Foundation. A limited number of Puma API caps, shoes, stand and staff bags, personally autographed by Rickie Fowler, will also be included in the grand prize and as smaller prizes for donations. Sweepstakes will also include a trip for the winner and a guest to Bay Hill for a private tour and a round of golf.
