2019 Masters Apparel Scripts

Who is wearing what at The Masters

It’s here! The Masters is upon us and we have the apparel scripts for the top players in the world. As always, Augusta National’s lush green fairways and scenic backdrops give golf apparel brands the opportunity to showcase key pieces in their new collections for spring and summer.

This year’s scripts highlight many of the biggest trends in golf fashion. From a color standpoint, muted pastels, soft neutrals, and anything paired with navy blue reign supreme. When looking at design trends, camo is still cool, micro prints are hot, and styles from the ’90s are making a strong comeback.

Here’s a look at what the best players in the world will be wearing at The Masters. Listed in order of world ranking, (and since Bonobos didn’t release a script for Justin Rose), DJ has the tee.

Dustin Johnson (Adidas Golf)

Familiar grey-on-grey tones, but Adidas adds hits of bright yellow and green to break up the monochromatic looks. Sunday’s color-blocked black and grey polo would work well with the Green Jacket.

Favorite look: Sunday

Justin Thomas (Ralph Lauren)

Brightly colored trousers are perfect for Spring. Contrasting zippers on layering pieces really pop and add an extra dimension. Thursday’s green and pink combo is unexpected but brilliant. How about the cardigan on Sunday?!

Favorite look: Thursday

Bryson DeChambeau (Puma Golf)

A fairly basic script for Bryson with a mix of energetic hues and greys. Technical knit polos with a tonal camo pattern add texture to his kits. Signature driving cap throughout the week.

Favorite look: Thursday

Rickie Fowler (Puma Golf)

Don’t. Blend. In. A slightly different take on the camo trend as Rickie debuts Puma’s Union Camo Collection. One-of-a-kind camo pattern was created by layering the shapes of the United States and the state of Georgia.

Favorite look: Thursday

Xander Schauffele (Adidas Golf)

A mix of classic and modern designs. Traditional tonal stripes on Thursday and Saturday are perfect for Xander’s on-course style. Embossed camo patterns the other days bring a subtle, contemporary edge.

Favorite look: Sunday

Bubba Watson (Oakley)

Vibrant turquoise with bold graphic prints. Sunday’s vertical stripes feed into the ’90s retro trend.

Favorite look: Friday

Louis Oosthuizen (Peter Millar)

Classic, yet sporty looks. The Cape Red makes a strong statement and pairs well with navy blue and white. Layering pieces are on point.

Favorite look: Saturday

Webb Simpson (FootJoy)

Traditional colors and styles. Showcases key pieces in FootJoy’s Spring/Summer Collection. Look for Webb to lace up a saddle shoe with an old-school heritage print, similar to the print above.

Favorite look: Option 5

Gary Woodland (Puma Golf)

Athletic and aggressive looks match Woodland’s game. Pieces from Puma’s Volition America Collection help to support the Folds of Honor.

Favorite look: Friday

Sergio Garcia (Adidas Golf)

Dark greys create the backdrop for splashes of bright yellows and greens. Friday’s stripes make a bold statement.

Favorite look: Friday

Cameron Smith (Original Penguin)

Fun, fresh, and whimsical. A mix of retro-inspired stripes and trendy all-over prints. The bright turquoise and navy blue pairings are great for the season. Friday’s polo possesses serious Spring Break travel vibes with planes, suitcases, globes, cameras, and palm trees.

Favorite look: Friday

Rafa Cabrera Bello (FootJoy)

Rafa wears bright colors very well and gets plenty to choose from here with intense blues, yellows, and reds. Pay attention to how he balances these electric hues with neutrals throughout the week.

Favorite look: Option 2

Jordan Spieth (Under Armour)

Some new colors and styles before ending with Jordan’s traditional Sunday Blue. Triple color blocked polos are trending this spring. Limited edition Spieth 3 shoes pay homage to Augusta National with hits of pink and a pine straw print sockliner.

Favorite look: Sunday

Billy Horschel (Ralph Lauren)

Preppy springtime looks with a technical twist. Most of Horschel’s outfits are built around the pants. Flamingo Pink seersucker, Magnolia Blue gingham, and a colorful Madras are perfect for a warm weekend in the south. Besides, the green, blue, and yellow in the Madras would complement the Green Jacket nicely.

Favorite look: Sunday

Kiradech Aphibarnrat (Fenix XCell)

Green, yellow, and pink always play well at The Masters. These are bold, high-contrast looks. How about those ‘cartoon Kiradech’ belt buckles from Druh.

Favorite look: Sunday

Branden Grace (Peter Millar)

Love the color combos here with the magentas and various shades of blue. Peter Millar does such a good job styling its players in interesting looks that possess depth and sophistication. Notice how the zippers of the pullovers subtly sync up with colors in other parts of the outfits.

Favorite look: Sunday

Charles Howell III (FootJoy)

Charles Howell is another player who wears color well, so it is no surprise to see him in pastels for Spring. Great balance between the colorful hues and neutrals is his key to success. All-over prints put a trendy spin on classic styles.

Favorite look: Option 2

Brandt Snedeker (Peter Millar)

Sneds always looks sharp. Muted pastels create a light and airy feel for Spring.

Favorite look: Friday

Si Woo Kim (Peter Millar)

Navy blue is a popular color this Spring and Si Woo shows us several ways to wear it. To really get on trend, pair a lighter shade of blue with navy and try layering a technical vest over a pullover in a complementary color.

Favorite look: Friday

Stewart Cink (Ben Hogan Apparel)

Mini geo jacquards and tropical prints are two of the biggest trends this Spring. Classic stripes never go out of style. 5-pocket pants offer a cool, casual look.

Favorite look: Friday

Patton Kizzire (Peter Millar)

Muted reds and light blues put a modern twist on the classic red, white, and blue story.

Favorite look: Friday

Jimmy Walker (FootJoy)

Classic white, black, and grey with hits of mint green. Micro prints and patterns on plackets and inner collar bands offer modern details.

Favorite look: Option 6

  1. I really like the Cam Smith scripting. its the hues. the adidas looks seem dull, lets see if they wear well.

    1. I love the Original Penguin looks. I wish the Peter Millar didn’t feature all outerwear, I want to see the whole look.
