By now, you should know what to expect from Jordan Spieth in the apparel department. As he did in the first two majors of 2015, Spieth will tee it up at The Open Championship (British Open) in cool, confident looks.
Blues and grays have been at the foundation of Spieth’s major championship wardrobes this year and his script for St. Andrews is heavy on both of these colors, again. Unlike at the Masters and U.S. Open, though, we will see Spieth sporting polos in brighter hues, including a vibrant island blue and an energetic green.
As I’ve talked about throughout 2015, the key to Spieth’s sartorial success has been the slimmer and more modern fits that he has been sporting. This helps to elevate the look of his classic, and fairly pedestrian, ensembles. Yes, fit is still the most important component of looking good on the course.
If Spieth is in contention on Sunday, be sure to check out his belt. This multi-colored braided strap has created almost as much buzz as his shoes. This belt first popped up on my radar when Spieth wore it during his win at the Valspar Championship. He wore it again on Saturday at the U.S. Open. These webbed and elastic belts are a huge trend on the fairways these days. I especially like them for summer as they possess a lighter look and feel than leather and offer a more casual vibe.
