Warning: G/FORE socks are highly addictive. You can’t buy just one pair. Read this review at your own risk.

Remember the days when you were taught to match your socks to your pants? More than likely you grabbed a pair of solid colored socks in black, brown or navy from one of the big box stores without giving it much thought.

Well, those days are dead and gone. Pants with tapered legs and shorter breaks are on-trend now which means us guys are showing more ankle then we ever have. Unfortunately, nobody wants to see our pasty, boney chicken sticks (speaking for myself) so the hottest trend in menswear right now is socks with bright colors and bold patterns.

Now, when you think of vibrant colors in the world of golf, G/FORE likely pops into your mind. G/FORE, founded by leading fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, is one of the trendsetters in golf style. It introduced brightly colored gloves a few years ago and brought contrasting soles and laces to the links with its Gallivanter shoes last fall.

Given that, it should come as no surprise that the brand is making a splash with a new line of socks filled with bold stripes and blocks of energetic colors, along with the oh-so trendy camo pattern.

As with all G/FORE products, these socks will grab your attention with their lively colors and stylish designs, but they are more than just a pretty face.

Performance qualities, like a compression fit and nylon/spandex anti-microbial yarn, will really wow you. If you’re not familiar with the benefits of compression fit socks and the word ‘anti-microbial’ sent you to Dictionary.com, all you need to know is that your feet won’t stink in G/FORE socks and they will be less fatigued when attacking that ‘honey-do’ list after your round.

This blend of cutting-edge style and performance makes G/FORE socks highly versatile, too. The crew length styles look as good with a pair of jeans as they do with technical golf pants or chinos, and dare I say they are a great way to spice up one of those conservative suits in your closet. The low cut styles pair nicely with shorts on the course, and they perform in the gym as well as any of the high-quality athletic socks on the market.

I first bought two pairs from Trendygolf when they were first released. Since then I’ve added another seven. While most people have a sock drawer, I now have a G/FORE sock drawer.

The golf course is the perfect venue for some loud socks. Think about it. The trend in golf apparel right now is cleaner and more classic looks, but these G/FORE socks are a great way to subtly flash a bit of color when you are lining up a putt or teeing up your golf ball. You can even pair a G/FORE glove with one of the colors in the socks for an understated, yet colorful look.

If you are ready to join me in my addiction, you can check out G/FORE’s socks on the company website or at Trendygolf. Just remember, I warned you.

  1. I am very glad to know through your post that you provide socks with unique and brilliant pattern. I am very fond of wearing dark colored socks matching with my clothes but these all socks should be unique. There is a big problem to find different patterns in local market but you have solved my big problem. Now I can buy cute socks according to my choice through your website.
