Ralph Lauren RLX sure knows how to get people talking about golfers and their pants.
First, we had Billy Horschel sporting octopus pants in the final round of the U.S. Open and now it appears Luke Donald will be rockin’ camouflage pants in the opening round of the Open Championship. The social media world will be buzzing over these. Here’s the link. You know you want them, so buy them now. If they sell anything like the cephalopod mollusk version that Horschel wore, they will be gone by the time Donald makes the turn on Thursday.
In addition to the camo pants, the trio of Luke Donald, Billy Horschel and Matteo Manassero will give us a peek at some of the other trend-setting looks from the RLX Fall Collection–preppy colors mixed with bold colorblocking, clean stripes, classic plaids and basic solids.
Luke Donald 2013 Open Championship Apparel Script
If Donald’s camo pants don’t grab your attention, then check out the plaid collar and placket on Friday’s shirt paired with red pants. If temperatures are cool on Sunday, look for Donald to turn to the blue-on-blue crewneck sweater (yes, crewnecks are back).
Billy Horschel 2013 Open Championship Apparel Script
Horschel’s preppy script features striking yellow and blue hues the first three days, before going all Ivy League on Sunday with navy and green plaid pants and a navy cardigan (and a tie?).
Matteo Manassero 2013 Open Championship Apparel Script
Manassero will wear his traditional white shirt/green pants combo on Sunday. The futuristic colorblocking on his Thursday polo and the purple and orange ensemble on Friday will likely turn some heads.
