Adidas Golf will outfit Jason Day in its Tournament Collection of polos at the PGA Championship.
The three-stripes brand garnered a ton of attention earlier this year at the Masters for its team apparel concept which saw multiple players wearing the same outfits each of the four days. Sure there was a good mix of positive and negative banter in the social media world, but this unique approach to apparel scripting created a buzz–yet another branding success for Adidas Golf. The brand continued its unique “all-for-one, one-for-all” apparel concept at the Players Championship, U.S. Open and Open Championship which saw players like Day, Sergio Garcia and Dustin Johnson capture a good bit of camera time while wearing pieces from the respective Tournament Collections.
Each of the shirts Jason Day will wear at the PGA Championship features the same aggressive color block design across the chest and shoulders in four different colorways. The Adidas logo appears on the right chest and three stripes adorn the back of the left sleeve. The four colorways, you will see the young Aussie rocking at Oak Hill, are Punch/University Red/White; University Red/Punch/Chrome; White/Black/Punch; and White/Punch/Chrome. Day will likely pair the shirts with black, grey and white Adidas pants.
Jason Day has been favoring the Adizero Tour shoes throughout the 2013 season and the limited edition Running White/Light Grey/University Red colorway seems to be a natural fit with the Tournament Collection polos. We expect to see him strolling the fairways in this combination or the more basic Black/White/Black or Running White/Black/Dark Silver colorways.
