Apparently the folks at Taylor Made Adidas Golf can really keep a secret when they want to. The social media world has been buzzing about Dustin Johnson’s mystery shoe since pictures started showing up on discussion forums a few months ago. Until now, there hasn’t been much information on the shoe, but Adidas Golf just announced that it is called the Adicross Tour. For those of us not named Dustin Johnson, we can slip our feet into a pair starting on May 1st for an MSRP of $200.
As you would expect from Adidas, the shoe is loaded with technology. It is constructed from premium, full-grain anline leather to provide comfort and performance along with a nylon saddle area for increased flexibility.
“With adicross tour, we created a lightweight golf shoe specifically-designed to allow the foot and body to work the way it was naturally intended to move, ” said Bill Price, Vice President of Adidas Golf Footwear. “With this revolutionary new shoe, a golfer can freely flex and rotate from the ground up to the shoulders, resulting in a more efficient, natural swing.”
From a style standpoint, the Adicross Tour features a new iconic blucher toe design with contrast stitching, and it is available in four different colorways.
A spikeless version of the Adicross Tour, with an x-shaped torsion bar in the mid-foot area, will be made available on June 1st in two colorways with an MSRP of $150. Both versions carry a two-year waterproof warranty.
