The adidas Ultraboost has reached iconic status. The original was my introduction to the Three-Stripes brand’s BOOST technology, and over the years, I’ve laced up more than a few pairs. The same can be said about the several generations of adidas BOOST golf shoes. But, I’ve often wondered, how awesome would it be if adidas combined the two and created an Ultraboost golf shoe.
Well, adidas has answered that question with the release of the first-ever Ultraboost shoes designed specifically for the course. The new Ultraboost Golf shoes will be available in limited quantities in two colorways – OG black and purple, and an all-grey version with pops of green starting Friday, April 21. Additionally, adiClub members have early access to a silver and olive colorway that is exclusively available on adidas.com now.
The Ultraboost Golf shoes are built on the same last as the original Ultraboost silhouette, with golf-specific updates that perfectly blend golf performance and streetwear fashion. The ADIWEAR rubber outsole features raised textured lugs for spikeless performance and comfort on and off the course. An Anti-clogging polished surface on the outsole helps keep grass and dirt out for maximum traction throughout the swing. Of course, the Ultraboost Golf shoes also feature full-length BOOST cushioning because what would an Ultraboost shoe be without that signature feature?
The reinforced PRIMEKNIT upper and microfiber leather toe overlay provide additional stability, while the upper combines hydrophobic yarns and water-repellent mesh to help repel moisture. The floating croc-textured saddle and TPU heel clip provide lateral stability throughout the swing, and the updated EVA sockliner is engineered with anti-slip and moisture-wicking properties.
Yes, the Ultraboost Golf shoe is the one I’ve been waiting for since I stepped into my first pair. The stylish design and golf-specific features check all the boxes for a casual round on the course. Thank you, adidas, for answering my Ultraboost prayers.
