And another one. And another one. (Said in best DJ Khaled voice.) Another day, another killer fit from Erik van Rooyen. No one is bringing more fire to the golf fashion scene than EVR. For the third round, he debuted Greyson’s artistic and colorful Peace Maker Polo that feeds into the brand’s Southwest inspiration for Fall 2020. Completing his look is ECCO’s S-Casual Shoes. The chunky silhouette is on-trend and a perfect complement to his signature joggers.

Speaking of being on repeat, DJ had his swing and putting stroke on repeat as he charged up the leaderboard on Moving Day. He’s also had this white ¼ zip tech vest on repeat throughout the week. How can something as basic as a solid white vest elevate his looks day after day? It has everything to do with the on-point fit.

A few years ago, I thought camo was a fad on the fairways. Instead, it has become an essential in every stylish golfer’s wardrobe. Camo is still cool as illustrated by Erik van Rooyen’s cool blue tones on Thursday and Kevin Kisner’s arctic hues on Friday. Billy Horschel has been rockin’ camo for several years and gave us another take on the pattern with various shades of grey in this Merino hoodie.

Layering has been one of the big fashion stories for the week. Props to Galvin Green for using San Francisco’s cool conditions to showcase its new line of Insula layers. The brand’s outerwear jackets and pullovers are the Mercedes of golf outerwear—sleek, luxurious, and high performance. Lanto layered up with GG’s new Dwight ½-zip. The subtle micro print on the chest pocket and sleeves elevate the look of this otherwise solid pullover.

So many players are dressing to match the weather. In a sea of grey, Steels was a beacon of light (and fashion hope) in this tropical green pullover. More good news; this color syncs perfectly with all the navy blue in your closet.

It’s been a mixed bag for Nike’s tie-dye polos this week. The light blue colorway got lost in the fog, especially when paired with those cream-colored trousers. This navy colorway, though, made a stronger statement. Finau looked sharped and sporty in this head-to-toe navy fit.

How do you add interest to a monochromatic look? Mix in some tonal stripes.

  1. DJ has to be your pick for best dressed so far. 2 days of that white quarter zip vest with purple and gray it has been THE look. Agree?

  2. Jim, I agree that DJ looked great during the PGA Championship but my vote for best dressed would be EVR.
