Who is wearing what at TPC Harding Park
Almost 13 months have passed, but major championship golf is back and it is in GolfThreads’ backyard. Too bad we can’t watch in person.
If there is one fashion theme for the PGA Championship, it will be tie-dye as many brands are pulling inspiration from San Francisco’s feel-good vibes and hippie movement. This is fitting because 2020 has been one strange trip.
With the altered schedule, we wondered if brands would stick to the original scripting they planned for May or use the opportunity to launch their fall collections on a major stage. The answer? Yes to both.
That being said, scripting is a bit light for the opening major of the year. Nonetheless, we’ve listed the players and what they are wearing by world ranking so new number one Justin Thomas has the honor.
Be sure to drop a comment below and let us know which script is your favorite or which pieces you are looking to cop. Peace…
Justin Thomas (Ralph Lauren)

Modern takes on classic looks with traditional blues and greys. JT showcases Ralph Lauren’s technical layers with a quilted pullover, half-zip sweater, and pullover jackets.

Bryson DeChambeau (Puma Golf)

Puma’s ‘P’ hats have been some of the dopest lids on the fairways over the past couple of years. Now that same ‘P’ design lands on an all-over print on Thursday’s polo. Saturday’s Cloudspun Scatter Polo plays into one of the biggest fall trends–prints on stripes.
Favorite Look: Thursday
Gary Woodland (Puma Golf)

Patriotic looks will have you thinking this is the U.S. Open instead of the PGA Championship. Fly away to the danger zone with an all-over fighter jet pattern on Saturday’s Volition Pilot Polo.
Favorite Look: Saturday
Rickie Fowler (Puma Golf)

Peace. Love. Golf. Tie-dye polos from Puma’s Love/Haight Collection pay homage to the funky vibes of San Francisco’s iconic Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. Saturday’s Cloudspun Taylor Polo may feel like a natural cotton fabric, but it is actually an ultra-soft Poly/Elastane blend.
Favorite Look: Thursday
Kevin Kisner (Peter Millar)

Friday’s arctic hues are crisp and cool. The modern Reversible Camo Wool Crewneck brings an added dimension to this fit and looks great layered under a technical vest in a soft grey color.
Favorite Look: Friday
Chez Reavie (Peter Millar)

Five-pocket pants continue to be in vogue and Chez will rock the cool and casual eb66 Performance Five-Pocket pant on Thursday and Sunday. Peter Millar’s color palettes are always on-trend. With green being the color this fall, Sunday’s Field Green trousers are a must-addition to your wardrobe.
Favorite Look: Sunday
Billy Horschel (Ralph Lauren)

Preppy seersuckers, luxurious cashmeres, and athletic layering pieces. Pops of lime green will stand out in the foggy conditions.
Favorite Look: Friday
Erik van Rooyen (Greyson Clothiers)

EVR gives us a sneak peek at Greyson’s Fall 1 Collection. Sunday’s Wolf Toile Polo just dropped in limited quantities. (Get it while you can.) Look for the Beacon, Wolfforest, and Peacemaker Polos to arrive next week. With a chill in the air, expect van Rooyen to layer up with Greyson’s luxurious cashmere sweaters, sporty hoodies, and trendy camos. Of course, he’ll mix in his signature Montauk Joggers over the four days.
Favorite Look: Sunday
Christiaan Bezuidenhout (Galvin Green)

Sleek, ultra-modern looks showcase Galvin Green’s new Fall Collection. Eye-catching prints, including Saturday’s Morris Polo that looks like a computer chip.
Favorite Look: Saturday
Brandt Snedeker (Peter Millar)

Refined performance with a variety of Peter Millar Crown Crafted styles. High tech fabrics, sleek aesthetics, and a tailored fit. Thursday’s Stealth Light Cardigan and the Stealth Light Vest the other days are the layering highlights.
Favorite Look: Saturday
Lanto Griffin (Galvin Green)

So much to like here. Galaxy print on Thursday, marble pattern on Saturday, and mini houndstooth pants on Sunday. I want it all.
Favorite Look: Saturday
Troy Merritt (Galvin Green)

Thursday’s Markell Polo with a shattered glass print has been one of our favorites this year. Sunday’s Mick Polo offers a fresh angle on a color-blocked design. Saturday’s Miguel Polo proves that stripes aren’t dead in 2020.

Billy Horschel Overall for me!
Excellent job finding these and thanks for sharing. I couldnt find many scouring the internet. Peter millar and RLX just keep winning. Did you see the Adidas purple scripts?
Thanks, Jim. Received the Adidas scripts after I posted the article. Really like the purple color.
