Our Fall Favorites series continues with a look at the new line of layering and rain gear options for the season from Kjus. With its Fall 2019 Collection, the Swiss brand continues to make strong statements on the fairways by delivering high-performance pieces with comfort and style in an updated color palette.
Pro 3L 2.0 Rain Jacket and Pants

There is no better example of the Kjus’ commitment to innovation than its range of rain gear. We’ve chronicled how some of the best players in the world, like Phil Mickelson, Shane Lowry, and Marc Leishman, have quietly turned to Kjus’ Pro 3L Jackets and Pants for protection from the elements. Never one to stand still, Kjus unveiled updated versions of the Pro 3L pieces at the PGA Show, which took home one of our GolfThreads Style Awards as a result of the new design and improvements.
The differentiating feature of the Pro 3L 2.0 gear is the amount of stretch built into the jacket and pants. As if the 4-way stretch wasn’t enough, Kjus added X-stretch inserts across the back and shoulders of the jacket and in the knees and upper thighs of the pants for even more freedom of movement.
Badus Insulated Jacket

With its history on the ski slopes, it is no surprise to see Kjus creating fashionable and functional insulated jackets. Last year, the brand’s Retention Jacket quickly became a favorite for those cold winter days—on and off the course.

For 2019, Kjus has added the Badus Jacket to the mix. This crossover piece from Kjus’ Ski Collection is as stylish as it is versatile. The front is packed with a thin layer of FAST® THERMO insulation for warmth while the back and sleeves are constructed from a Poly/Elastane blend for stretch where you need it most. The Badus is prepared for any weather conditions and even has a hood discretely stashed in the high collar.
Freelite Kulm Pullover and Half-Zip

We’ve been preaching about the return of sweaters to the course this season, and this new generation of knits is fusing traditional looks with modern technology. A prime example of this ‘best-of-both-worlds’ approach is Kjus’ Freelite Kulm Pullover. Freelite is a new knitting technology using zonal body-mapping to deliver warmth, breathability, and flexibility to different areas of a garment. The Kulm features strategically-placed open-knit structures across the back and underarms for ventilation. Other regions help to deliver warmth where you need it most.
Keano and Calderas Mid-Layers
Even though sweaters are making a strong comeback, pullovers continue to be the preferred layering options for pros and amateurs alike. Recognizing the trend towards more athletic layering pieces, Kjus has added two new pullovers to its mix—the Keano and Calderas. Both possess a sporty look and can be easily worn over a pullover or under the Retention Vest for an extra layer of warmth. The Keano is a mid-layer you’ll buy this Fall and wear again next Spring. It checks in as Kjus’ lightest mid-layer making it the perfect option for warmer days. On the flip side, the Calderas is lined with a brushed fleece, which provides a cozy feel for those late Autumn rounds.
Kjus makes some remarkable apparel and these outer layers are brilliant.
