Adidas Drops the TOUR360 Knit & EQT BOA

The great American wordsmith, William Jonathan Drayton, Jr. (aka FLAVA FLAV) once said, “I’ll tell you one thing you can’t do; you can’t put your shoes on, then your socks on.”

All Day I Dream About Sock-Like Collars…..

Adidas has once again raised the bar by expanding their iconic TOUR360 line. Their newest addition, the TOUR360 Knit brings Adidas’ Primeknit technology to their flagship shoe. Breathability and stretch are the primary benefits that enhance performance and comfort. However, it is the sleek style (and sock-like collar) that gives the TOUR360 Knit a perfect 10 score (and earned it a GolfThreads Style Award at the PGA Show). Not to mention it is the most visually comfortable shoe I have never worn! In fact, if I had to buy golf shoes based on how comfortable they look, these would be my pick.

Part of what makes the TOUR360 Knit appear so cozy (and tantalizingly desirable) is the sock-like, rib-knit material that replaces the traditional collar opening. Adidas offers a 90-day snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug guarantee as well as a one-year waterproof guarantee, which is insane given the knit materials. The engineering team behind this breakthrough golf shoe gave some thought to us early risers with the inclusion of 50/50 Protect; a special film around the lower half of the upper for an added layer of protection against dew on those early mornings.

I guess it is debatable whether you can actually put your shoes on AND then put your socks on with these fresh kicks. Regardless, the TOUR360 Knit has me yelling, “Yeah, Boyeee!”

Per Adidas, other key highlights of the TOUR360 Knit:

  • Full-length BOOST™ midsole for unrivaled cushioning and endless energy
  • External TPU stripe, coupled with internal SPRINTSKIN™ for ultimate reinforcement and unparalleled fit and support around the midfoot
  • Advanced, dual-density 10-clear puremotion® TPU outsole with strategically placed CenTraXion and new thintech® EXP cleats for improved stability for where golfers need it most
  • fitfoam® PU sockliner provides additional support, cushioning and comfort
  • TORSION TUNNEL provides independent flexibility and control between the heel and forefoot while giving the wearer enhanced arch support and improved green friendliness.

Turn It Up! Bring the Noise!

For playa’s interested in BOA® technology, the TOUR360 EQT BOA changes the game by offering the most-advanced BOA closure system on the market. The IP1 incremental pull-and-push system allows playa’s even more customizable adjustability, meaning they can get dialed-in to their exact foot shape to keep them even more locked-in throughout the round. The key feature that sets the TOUR360 EQT BOA apart is that this system allows for tightening around both the midfoot and entire heel of the shoe, providing unmatched stability throughout the golf swing. Some other highlights of these fresh kicks:

  • New TPU top plate which wraps higher in the saddle and heel for increased stability and performance
  • Full-length BOOST midsole for unrivaled cushioning and endless energy
  • Premium leather plus microfiber upper with climaproof® technology
  • SPRINTSKIN™ around the top of foot for additional stability within the shoe
  • Advanced, dual-density 10-clear puremotion® TPU outsole with strategically placed CenTraXion and new thintech® EXP cleats for improved stability for where golfers need it most
  • TORSION TUNNEL provides independent flexibility and control between the heel and forefoot while giving the wearer enhanced arch support and improved green friendliness
  • Microfiber heel lining adds additional durability while providing a contemporary look
  • Two-year waterproof warranty
  • 90-day comfort guarantee
