Nike Golf has released its limited edition footwear for the 2014 Masters. Included in the collection are white/green colorways of the brand’s TW’14 ($220), Lunar Control ($200) and Lunar Clayton ($300) models.
“Last year we released a limited edition version of the TW’ 13, and it was a huge success. For 2014, we wanted to expand that unique offering to include three of our most popular models – the TW’ 14, Lunar Control and Lunar Clayton – featuring the infusion of color in a trio of powerful yet understated designs.” — Lee Walker, Nike Golf Footwear Product Director.
I really like the clean looks of each of these shoes. The subtle pops of green on the eyelets and outsoles provide just the right amount of color while respecting the tradition of the Masters. Nike clearly has three winners here.
I expect we’ll see Tiger Woods sporting his signature TW’14 shoes and Russell Henley, Charl Schwartzel, Nick Watney and Francesco Molinari in the Lunar Control model. As much as I think the Lunar Clayton shoe with its brogue detailing is the best of the bunch, I’ve yet to see any players wearing them. Maybe that will change at Augusta.
Nike Golf’s limited edition Masters shoes are now available at Nike.com and other retailers.
