Justin Thomas

Based on the response to our Instagram posts, it might be time to start a new feature, WIJTC (What’s In Justin Thomas’ Closet)! JT opted to wear Peter Millar during the practice and first rounds of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. We posted a picture of him in the Peter Millar Crown Sport Solid Performance Polo and Perth Performance 1/4 Zip on Wednesday and our IG blew up. During round two, Thomas wore the Greyson Clothiers Moon and Mountain Polo with the Sequoia Full Zip Jacket. The response was equally giddy. Needless to say, we are excited to see what is next. Stay tuned.

Rory McIlroy (Nike Golf)

The other big story coming out of Abu Dhabi was Rory McIlroy wearing the new Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 that is set to be released in April. Admittedly, these remind me of the Nike LC2. I am going to reserve judgment until I see them in person.

Henrik Stenson (Hugo Boss & Ecco)

Keepin’ with kicks, Henrik Stenson wore a special-edition of the ECCO S-THREE shoes. Aptly named, “The Iceman” these shoes feature a cracked leather upper that mimics shards of shattered glass. The tongue of the shoe also includes a special-edition tag reading, “Henrik Stenson-The Iceman.” The inaugural version of the S-THREE quickly became my go-to shoe last summer and I am eager to get my mitts on these when the white and black colorways are released later this Spring.

Matt Wallace (J.Lindeberg & FootJoy)

This ensemble by Matt Wallace really caught my eye. The Iceman White sunglasses by aforementioned Henrik Stenson’s eyewear brand paired quite nicely with the vertical stripe on Wallace’s J.Lindeberg polo. I’d be curious to know what people thought of this polo; I loved it like I do the smell of fresh laundry in a stale room.

John Augenstein (Oakley Golf & FootJoy)

Youngster John Augenstein has partnered with Oakley to wear their golf apparel and PRIZM eyewear. It appears crystal-clear to me that Team Oakley Golf is going to make noise this year; starting with that gradient pullover….

Hunter Mahan (Malbon Golf & Nike)

Wait! What? Hunter Mahan is wearing Malbon!? How did I miss this? I will do better next time. Promise.

Chase Seiffert (William Murray Golf & Callaway Footwear)

Hey, all you cool cats and kittens, this William Murray Golf polo is paw-some! Sorry, I am just kitten around. I do love the gang at WMG and can’t wait to see what else they have in store for ’21.

Rafa Cabrera Bello (FootJoy)

I participated in the FootJoy 2021 Virtual Launch Event and the highlight for me was Rafa Cabrera Bello talking about the new FootJoy HyperFlex BOA.

I tried them on right away and my first thought was I want a bed made of this shoe because they are so comfortable!

Rafa Cabrera Bello

I tried them on and I agree. Comfortable, indeed. And the exclusive FJ BOA heel system on these will keep your feet as snug as a bug in a rug.

Rickie Fowler (Puma Golf)

Rickie Fowler made his 2021 debut at the American Express. Once again, we saw him in the yet-to-be-released Puma Golf high-top shoes with a heel strap. I swore during the practice round I noticed him wearing a different pair of shoes that I had never seen before. I will keep you posted as I learn more.

Brian Gay (G/FORE)

My fashion inspiration, Brian Gay bringing the heat in those G/FORE Knit Camo Longwing Gallivanter shoes. Wow! Be on the lookout for an upcoming interview with Brian. That’ll be one you don’t want to miss.

Haotong Li (Descente & FootJoy)

Rumor has it that Haotong Li felt slighted by not receiving a 2020 Threadie. He’s putting the rest of you guys on notice for 2021. Show them how it’s done, Haotong.

  1. I’m generally not a fan of J. Lindeberg but the polo Matt Wallace wore is bought as soon as i can find it.

  2. Mike, is it me or are the cuts in the slacks and shirts getting a little fuller? I know the trend away from skin tight but a lot of the pics above look quite a bit looser.
