It is a bit strange to be talking about the PGA Championship in May. Nonetheless, Glory’s Last Second Shot is upon us.
If you are looking for a sartorial theme for this year’s PGA Championship, it is the infamous warning sign that sits behind the first tee at Bethpage Black. Many brands pulled inspiration from the sign in outfitting their players, some even creating limited edition products based on it.
Here is a look at the apparel and footwear selections for the game’s top players. Scripts are listed in order of world ranking. Dustin Johnson once again has the tee.
Dustin Johnson (Adidas Golf)

Cool greys and blues are right in DJ’s wheelhouse. Color-blocked designs and heathered textures offer a modern and sporty look.
Favorite look: Saturday
Brooks Koepka (Nike Golf)

Put Nike’s apparel to the side. The style buzz at Bethpage will center around the brand’s Safari ‘Bred’ Pack of footwear. The jungle print was inspired by New York’s concrete jungle and the iconic black and red colorway pays homage to many of Nike’s legendary footwear styles, including the original black and red Air Jordan 1.
Koepka will wear Nike’s Tour Premiere shoe from the special pack.
Rory McIlroy (Nike Golf)

Rory laces up Nike’s Victory Tour kicks from the Safari pack and tops off his looks with the slouchy Heritage86 cap. He won THE PLAYERS while wearing shoes with metallic outsoles. Just saying.
Tiger Woods (Nike Golf)
Color-blocked striped polos blend classic and athletic feels, but the question remains…will Tiger break out the red mock neck polo on Sunday for an intimidation factor?
Bryson DeChambeau (Puma Golf)

Typical Bryson kits here as he puts a technical spin on traditional stripes, solids, and color-blocked designs. Tops it off with his signature cap.
Favorite look: Friday
Xander Schauffele (Adidas Golf)

A great mix of dark marine, collegiate navy, and true blue hues over the four days.
Favorite look: Saturday
Rickie Fowler (Puma Golf)

The striking contrast between the jet black and bright fuchsia makes a strong statement. Warning Pack shoes, hat, and bag feature warning icons to play into the Black Course’s most talked about feature.
Favorite look: Thursday
Jason Day & Tony Finau (Nike Golf)

The Air Max 1 G is the best of Nike’s Safari ‘Bred’ Pack. It could hit the streets without missing a beat and make even the biggest sneakerheads jealous. This will be the most talked about shoe at Bethpage.
Tommy Fleetwood (Nike Golf)

Then again, the Roshe G Tour isn’t too shabby, either.
Webb Simpson (FootJoy)
If you like classic looks but don’t want to dress like your dad, Webb is your guy to copy. Timeless kits with contemporary cuts.
Favorite look: Option 3
Louis Oosthuizen (Peter Millar)

Have we mentioned that navy is the new grey which was the new khaki which was the new black? Props to Louis for stretching his comfort zone with those palm print trousers on Friday and the tonal camo polo on Saturday.
Favorite look: Friday
Gary Woodland (Puma Golf)

Patriotic looks to kick off summer. The only things missing are hot dogs, apple pie, and an ice cold Bud.
Favorite look: Thursday
Sergio Garcia (Adidas Golf)
Forget the rest of the script; Thursday’s throwback to the polo Sergio wore at the 1999 PGA Championship is as brilliant as his pirouetting-eyes-closed-low-cut-while-stymied-behind-a-tree shot. For those too young to remember, peep the video below.
Favorite look: Thursday
Cameron Smith (Original Penguin)

Retro track jackets, tipped collars, banded sleeves, and vertical stripes mixed with modern all-over prints create a unique and stylish script for the Aussie.
Favorite look: Saturday
Rafa Cabrera Bello (FootJoy)
Nobody dials up color quite like RCB. Pin dot prints put him on trend and the bright red trousers help him to stand out from the crowd.
Favorite look: Option 2
Jordan Spieth (Under Armour)
Where are the blue shirts? Jordan ditches his go-to color in favor of black, grey and pops of orange. Limited edition Spieth 3 kicks feature an emblem of the infamous warning sign at the Black Course and an outline of Long Island.
Favorite look: Friday
Billy Horschel (Ralph Lauren)

Poppy Orange, Flamingo Pink, Cabana Blue, and Beekman Yellow bring an energetic vibe to the course for spring. Technical layering pieces and outerwear can easily be mixed and matched with any outfit in his script.
Branden Grace (Peter Millar)

Soft neutrals, a muted purple, and sporty layers keep Grace on point throughout the week.
Favorite look: Friday
Charles Howell III
Classic stripes and vibrant blues and pinks showcase CH3’s sartorial smarts.
Favorite look: Option 2
Brandt Snedeker (Peter Millar)

I need to add this entire script to my wardrobe, especially both pairs of trousers from the weekend.
Favorite look: Sunday
Si Woo Kim (Peter Millar)

The most fashionable layering combinations in the field. Pieces from the Crown Crafted Collection offer a slimmer fit, luxurious Italian fabrics with four-way stretch, and top-shelf hardware.
Favorite look: Friday
Erik van Rooyen (Greyson Clothiers)

Elegant, sophisticated, and on trend. EVR gives us a preview of Greyson’s Fall 2019 Collection.
Favorite look: Saturday
Jimmy Walker (FootJoy)
The dark colors fit JW’s personal style. Contrasting patterns on the inner plackets elevate the polos.
Favorite look: Option 1
Troy Merritt (Galvin Green)

Pulls inspiration from the warning sign behind the first tee. Love the continuity of Merritt’s script, but also the fact that there are four distinct looks that highlight the modern designs in Galvin Green’s collection.
Favorite look: Sunday
Kelly Kraft (Greyson Clothiers)

Sleek, stealthy, and stylish. Greyson and Kelly Kraft hit all the right notes with this dark and mysterious script.
