This is a quick post to let you know about two outerwear pieces from J.Lindeberg that should be on your short list this spring. The Jarvis T-Neck pullover and the Stretch Softshell jacket are perfect layering pieces for the season. If you are getting ready to head out on your spring golf trip or just dusting off your clubs after months of polar vortexes, then you should check out both of these.
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Jarvis T-Neck (shown above on PGA TOUR player James Driscoll) is a ‘go-anywhere’, ‘do-anything’ pullover that not only looks great, but straight up performs, as well. I’ve had mine for about six weeks and I’ve worn it on the course, on the street, to and from the gym and for some outdoor Crossfit workouts. I keep looking for and finding reasons to wear it. That’s how good it is.
There are a lot of things to like about the Jarvis T-Neck. The brushed Fieldsensor fabric is not only warm and soft on the inside, but also offers great breathability and moisture management. This combination allows it to be worn in a wide range of temperatures without needing additional layers. The four-way stretch provides uninhibited movement throughout the swing while also offering a clean silhouette. I really like that I can wear a slim fitting pullover without having to sacrifice playability and flexibility.
From a style standpoint, the Jarvis T-Neck is everything you’d expect from J.Lindeberg. Strong colorblocking features are blended with eye-catching details like the two vertical stripes on the left shoulder and the contrasting zipper. Add in J.Lindeberg’s classic bridge and text logos on the chest and back of the collar and you have a stylish, eye-catching outerwear piece for spring that is highly functional.
I really like the navy/blue colorway shown in the pictures here, but it is also available in black, red, green, dark grey and white colorways this spring.
The Stretch Softshell jacket is a modern take on the classic wind jacket — and nobody does modern like J.Lindeberg. With a contemporary motorcycle cut, the Stretch Softshell looks as good on street as it does on the course. Two bold horizontal chest stripes and a contrasting full-length zipper give this jacket just the right amount pop while maintaining classic vibe.
I have a small carry bag, so stashing multiple layers of clothing in my bag is often a challenge. The Stretch Softshell, though, is a very lightweight and packable piece. It is perfect for warmer days when you need a thin layer of wind protection. It is also water resistant, so it will keep you dry if you are caught in a few springtime sprinkles. For full waterproof protection, check out J.Lindeberg’s Swing Jacket. It has to be one of the best looking rain jackets in golf.
The Stretch Softshell shown in the pictures here is from J.Lindeberg’s Fall 2013 Collection. For spring 2014, it is available in six colorways — blue, black, red, navy, green and dark grey.
I’ll have a more in-depth review of J.Lindeberg’s Spring Collection after the Masters. In the meantime, check out the brand’s outerwear for the season. Trendygolf always has a great selection of JL products and they deliver within a few days.
