adidas is bringing back the iconic Trefoil logo to the golf course with the launch of Originals Golf—a bold play that blends streetwear heritage with fairway-ready style.
And for me? It’s personal. Originals Golf doesn’t just look cool—it took me right back to the beginning.
When Golf Was the Summer Hang and adidas Was the Uniform

I was in junior high when I first started playing golf. The neighborhood pool also had an 18-hole par-3 course. We were too young to have summer jobs and too old to be at home, so the pool was our hang-out for the afternoons. Desperate to exercise a few more hours of freedom from our parents, we started showing up on the first tee every morning. Every day was the perfect version of Groundhog Day. We played a round before the Virginia heat and humidity arrived and then hit the pool once it did for some Marco Polo and bad nachos.
At the time, I was a soccer player first, a basketball player second, and a golfer…well that was much further down the list. As a soccer player, I wore adidas everywhere, even on the course. My go-to fits were coordinating adidas t-shirt and short sets with the trefoil logo and three stripes down the shoulders of the shorts and sides of the shorts. I had about five sets that I mixed and matched and rotated. The shorts were lined and doubled as a swimsuit, so I effortlessly moved from the course to the pool.
Originals Golf: Where Style Leads and Performance Follows

Fast forward to 2025 golf fashion evolving at warp speed. Streetwear’s influence is stronger than ever, and adidas is tapping into its archives to create a line that feels both fresh and familiar to me. This isn’t just performance gear with a retro twist; it’s a full-on fashion statement built for those who want to bring serious style to their game.
Originals Golf is a curated range of apparel, footwear, and accessories for both men and women—designed with a nod to adidas’ past but engineered for the course through a modern lens. And yes, adidas athlete Ludvig Åberg will be rocking select pieces at the first major of the year, proving that these styles are more than just eye candy—they belong on golf’s biggest stages.
The Revival of an Icon

Dylan Moore, Senior Creative Director of adidas Golf, summed up the collection’s ethos perfectly:
“The adidas Trefoil logo was first introduced in 1972 and represents the convergence of fashion and culture through sport. As we examined our roots in the game, we were inspired by the ways we pushed fashion on the course in the ’70s and ’80s and felt the time was right to reintroduce styles for golfers that are influenced by the fashion and culture of today.”
Translation? This isn’t a gimmick—it’s a statement. Originals Golf is adidas doubling down on the idea that the best-dressed golfer doesn’t just show up to play; they show up to make an impact.

Accessories That Hit Different

No look is complete without the right accessories, and adidas isn’t cutting corners. The Originals Golf collection includes hats, socks, belts, leather gloves, headcovers, premium golf towels, and sleek carry bags—all designed to tie your outfit together with effortless polish.
Retro Done Right

Golf fashion is in the middle of a cultural shift, and adidas is reading the room. Streetwear has officially made its way onto the course, and Originals Golf is a bold acknowledgment that the game’s style rules are evolving.
Golf isn’t just a sport anymore. It’s a culture, a canvas, a conversation. And this drop invites everyone to join that conversation, especially those of us who’ve been blending performance and style since the days of par-3s and pools.

Love, love love. Takes me back to the 80’s when I started playing. Will buy nearly every item!,
Adidas absolutely nailed it with this collection.
