This Week In Golf Fashion: Sony Open

Praying for the Cashmere Keith golf fashion threesome, Billy’s Fury, remembering when Luke and Lucas were SoCal fashion OG’s, and Good Good guy, Joel Dahmen, wrap up our coverage of the PGA Tour’s Hawaiian Swing. Aloha.

First off, thank God that Keith Mitchell hasn’t switched apparel brands. I will continue praying that he keeps with Sid Mashburn and FootJoy because as far as I am concerned this threesome is the best thing to happen to golf fashion in years. If you haven’t checked out The Golf Shop on Sid Mashburn’s site, I suggest you do so. These pants (above) would be a good place to start for a wardrobe refresh and the Short-Sleeved Knit Button-Down Popover (below), with its deep placket, is a power polo that I plan to add to my collection this season. But what I really want to know is, what’s up with these FootJoy’s? Premiere prototypes, perhaps?

Apparently, Aloha Friday isn’t as big of a deal at the Sony Open anymore. Thanks to Kevin Velo and Amble for keeping it going with the Viewpoint Full Button Polo. This was the most spirited Friday fit. And deservedly so!

Max McGreevy (Original Penguin & Puma)

In fresh Hot Stove news, Max McGreevy joins the Original Penguin team and also switches up his footwear. It appears he will be another, in a long list of golfers choosing to lace up Puma footwear this season. Puma has really gained some traction on the PGA Tour the past couple of years.

Andrew Putnam (True Linkswear)

Looks like Andrew Putnam will be wearing True Linkswear footwear and apparel in 2025. The announcement hasn’t officially been made but we spotted him wearing True prototypes back in November at the RSM Classic.

Luke List (Boen & G/FORE)

Does anyone else remember back in the day when Luke List was an OG at TravisMathew? I sure do! Well, it appears that Luke is repping TravisMathew and Cuater co-founders Travis Brasher and Ben Donnelly’s new apparel brand, Boen. Initial impression is…? Awesome!

Lucas Glover (Greyson Clothiers & Asics)

And taking the place of Luke List on the wolfpack is…Lucas Glover?! I have a hard time picturing him in anything other than Linksoul (he’s been wearing them for over ten years). I was skeptical about seeing him pair Greyson and Asics, but I have to admit, it wasn’t the worst!

Joel Dahmen (Good Good & True Linkswear)

Gregarious golf good guy, Joel Dahmen has joined none other than Good Good Golf apparel. Seems fitting.

Kurt Kitayama (Municipal & Adidas)

I love how this Municipal polo gives off an argyle-ish vibe.

Trevor Cone (State & Liberty & FootJoy)

Fresh off the Korn Ferry Tour, Trevor Cone is one to watch for some fresh fashion inspiration. I can’t quite find my fit in State & Liberty apparel but Trevor rocks it.

Billy Horschel (Ralph Lauren & FootJoy)

Finally, in other news, our guy, Billy Horschel will be topping his dome this year with Fury Athletix headwear. If it is good enough for Billy-Ho, it’s good enough for me, yo!
