Homa takes it to the Max in TravisMathew, Billy Horschel and Ralph Lauren write a fashionable script, Scott Piercy finishes in the money, and more. Tour Editor Michael Ruuska recaps the fashion scene from the Charles Schwab Challenge.
Roger Sloan (Lululemon)
Roger Sloan shows off his Canadian pride by proudly wearing Lululemon. Now that Lululemon is marketing their apparel for golf, something tells me we will be seeing even more of Lululemon on the course this summer. If you haven’t tried their ABC Pants, I recommend you do so, eh….
Scott Piercy (J.Lindeberg)
Scott Piercy left me green with envy in the J.Lindeberg KV Jaquard Polo. Matching the print on this shirt with his JL belt? Money!
Rickie Fowler
Rickie Fowler is a GolfThreads Hall of Famer. However, this look was a swing and a miss for me. Rickie looks like he should be working in a fast food establishment. I can’t even blame it on the white belt.
Billy Horschel (Ralph Lauren)
It always amazes me that Mariano Rivera is the only player to ever be elected to the MLB Hall of Fame unanimously. The next highest percentage of first ballot votes is Ken Griffey Jr (99.32%). I think we would all agree that if funding comes through for a Golf Fashion HOF, Billy Horschel would receive 100% of the vote when he becomes eligible. In fact, Billy-Ho might want to consider wearing this Ralph Lauren shirt on his HOF plaque; it has an all-over, diary-inspired print in splashes of indigo. Perfect.
Josh Teater (Peter Millar)
Peter Millar belts are among the best in golf. The Skull & Clubs Canvas Belt is one of my favorites….
Whee Kim
Whee Kim should walk the plank for this getup! Black trousers and shoes with white socks and a brown belt? Curious. Whee Kim doesn’t typically make these kinds of fashion blunders.
Max Homa (TravisMathew)
Max Homa is an awesome ambassador for TravisMathew. He is becoming one of those guys you can look to week in and week out for a good example of how golf clothes should fit. The FOJO polo is classic TM and this look can easily be worn on and off the course.
