Adidas Golf is embracing the team apparel concept at the Open Championship, as it did at the Masters, The Players Championship and the U.S. Open. The three-stripes brand will outfit its players in a single collection of apparel rather than individual scripts. At this point, you probably love or hate the team scripts, but one thing is for sure–Adidas has people talking about this unique approach to apparel scripting, so from a branding standpoint it is a clear win.

Expect to see Adidas pros like Jason Day, Dustin Johnson and Scotland’s own Martin Laird clad in the blue, white and grey uniforms. Johnson will likely complete the uni with his Adicross Tour shoe, while other Adidas players will likely turn to these limited edition Adizero Tours.
Sergio Garcia did not sport the team apparel at the U.S. Open, so we’ll need to see if he joins the all-for-one, one-for-all concept at Muirfield.
