Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the links,
Not a golfer was stirring, not even for drinks.
The wish lists were hung by the lockers with care,
In hopes that fresh threads soon would be there.
From Vineyard Vines to Quiet Golf, the styles did abound,
With quilting and flannels and plaids all around.
Michael dreamed of quarter-snaps, Johnnie-O vests,
While Linksoul’s hoodies topped all the rest.
Greg, with his Greyson, felt warmth in the air,
Wrapped in Fair Isle coziness beyond all compare.
So golfers take heed, as the holidays near,
With outfits like these, you’ll bring stylish cheer.
Whether sweaters or pants, hoodies or boots,
Make your wish list shine—stay cozy and astute.
Michael’s Picks
I chose to go with outfits from four of my favorite brands. It is not really golfing season here in the northeast, so my selections are more seasonably appropriate. Feliz Navidad!
Vineyard Vines

Harbor Fleece Quarter-Snap
Vineyard Flannel Plaid Shirt
Corduroy 5-Pocket Pant
I love me a good lookbook and the gang at Vineyard Vines made it easy for me this holiday season. As soon as I came across the VV Harbor Fleece Quarter-Snap I wanted it. Doesn’t it just look so warm and cozy? This is the pullover that you wear when you want that special someone to get suffocatingly close to you. Plus, as the weather cools the snaps are a welcome change to all those 1/4 zips I own. Then, I saw it worn over this Vineyard Flannel Plaid Shirt and now, I want that too! With all due respect to my friends at Vineyard Vines, I prefer this layering combination with navy trousers. I am adding the Nautical Navy Corduroy 5-Pocket Pants to my wish list to complete the ensemble.
Johnnie-O

Apo Quilted Button Up Vest
Merino Wool Crewneck Sweater
Harkers Corduroy Pant
The Apo Quilted Button Up Vest can elevate any outfit. You can follow the lead from the j-O lookbook or take my advice and wear the Graphite version of this vest over the Khaki Merino Wool Crewneck Sweater and Gray Harkers Corduroy Pants for a transcendent casually cool look.
TravisMathew

This one is simple for me. The TravisMathew Open to Close Pants are my favorite slacks, so they’ll definitely make my list for Santa. For this ‘fit I am going classic black and grey. Pair these pants with the long-sleeved State Room Polo in Heather Quiet Shade (I will leave it up to you if you want to roll up the button cuffs or not). Top it off with the eye-catching Come What May bomber-style jacket and you will be ready for a night out on the town. There is nothing casually cool about this outfit. Just downright cool. Now go out and make me proud.
Linksoul

Did you really think I wasn’t going to include a hoodie on my list? The Linksoul Sandwash Ottoman Stitch Hoodie is my choice because it combines the look and feel of a luxury sweater with the casual vibe of a hoodie. That’s some versatility! I’d suggest wearing this heavy-weight hoodie with Linksoul’s new technical pants for the ultimate fashion juxtaposition. The Icon Tour 5-Pocket Pant (I prefer the Felten Slim version–insider tip: they are not “slim”) are super functional (stretchy, cooling, quick drying) and durable bottoms (made from ripstop fabric) that can be worn for any occasion.
Greg’s Picks
Greyson Clothiers

My family claims that I put the same things on my wish list every year. While that is a bit of an exaggeration, I can’t deny that Greyson’s sweaters are at the top of my list every year. Leading the pack are the 100% Cashmere Koko Hoodie and Tomahawk Crewneck, synonymous with luxurious softness and cozy warmth.

New for this year, though, is Greyson’s Saratoga program. These 100% Merino Wool gems—the Saratoga Hoodie and Crewneck—offer all the buttery softness you expect but at a more wallet-friendly price point. And my personal favorite? The Nordic Fair Isle Sweater Hoodie. It’s a 70/30 wool-cashmere blend that delivers amazing comfort while making a bold statement with its stunning Fair Isle intarsia pattern on the chest and hood. Sweater game: leveled up.
Holderness & Bourne

Quilted layers are trending which is why Holderness & Bourne’s Ward Sweater and Wallace Hoodie find themselves on the nice list this holiday season. Both are crafted from 100% Egyptian cotton, a jacquard knit, and ribbed side panels for ease of movement. Layer them over a polo, button-down, or t-shirt for a day on the course or a night on the town.
Discounts on Holderness & Bourne apparel are as rare as tropical temps at the North Pole, so you’ll want to jump on the 20% off H&B is offering until December 2nd with code HB24.
Quiet Golf

2024 has been anything but quiet for Quiet Golf. This boutique brand made noise with show-stopping collabs with Puma and Holderness & Bourne, showcasing its ability to balance contemporary and classic design.
That being said, Quiet’s latest drop, though, is an absolute heater. Standouts include the Monogram Houndstooth Polo, Jacquard Sweater, and Owl Forest Hoodie—each piece serves up fresh, bold aesthetics, proving that Quiet Golf is one of the pacesetters in golf fashion.
Field Day Sporting Co.

When Field Day hit the PGA Show in Orlando, they didn’t just turn heads—they stole the show. Founder Patrick Keegan’s debut golf collection was a breath of fresh air, blending traditional suiting patterns with modern performance wear.
Case in point: the Herringbone Palmer Performance Hoodie, Glen Check Belfry Pant, and 5-button Ford Polo. These designs skip the loud prints for sophisticated, old-school style reimagined for the fairways. If you’re looking to stand out in the new year, Field Day’s got you covered—in the chicest way possible.
Manors Golf

Shooters gonna shoot. Manors Golf shot their shot and hit a bullseye in 2024 by mixing vintage vibes with cutting-edge tech. The Frontier Shooter Shirt channels ’90s basketball warm-ups and the Course Crewneck Vest is a nod to classic on-course layering. Both pieces are crafted with modern performance materials for maximum stretch and breathability. It’s retro done right.
Students Golf

Few brands nail the balance of modern and traditional like Students Golf, and their Mackler Plaid Pants are proof. The Glen Plaid pattern is a vintage throwback, but the wool-polyester blend and straight-leg cut make it modern and relevant. Pair them with the Jude Cardigan, and you’ll feel like a 2024 version of Arnold Palmer—effortlessly cool and undeniably sharp.
Dunning Golf

The 5-Pocket Player Pant has been the centerpiece of Dunning’s range of bottoms for as long as I can remember. Hey, if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. The fit hits the sweet spot of being not too slim and not too baggy. While there are more colors than that box of crayons you had as a kid, the Beet, Olive, and Cabernet colorways are perfect for the season. The perfect complement to the Player Pant is the Connor All-Season Crewneck Sweater. The bold racing stripes on the sleeves of the Connor caught my eye at the PGA Show, and they add a sporty element to any look.
Seamus Golf

Your fit is dialed in and your bag is on point. The only thing killing your vibe is that obnoxious neon rangefinder case. Fear not; Seamus Golf has you covered with these simple, stylish, and high-quality rangefinder pouches. They check all the boxes with water-resistant exteriors, waterproof zippers, a brass clasp, and magnetic closure for easy access.
FootJoy Grounds Collection

FootJoy loves a good holiday drop, and this year’s Grounds Collection doesn’t disappoint. Inspired by the natural beauty of the game—think fresh-cut grass and gravel paths—it’s packed with cozy hoodies, technical windshirts, beanies, socks, and limited-edition versions of the Premiere Series Field LX and Traditions Blucher. Perfect for the golfer who appreciates sweeping dew, chasing the sun, and well-manicured courses.
Galvin Green

Remember when rain gear was stiff, loud, and stuffy? Well, Galvin Green put an end to that era with its new waterproofs created with Pertex® Shield Stretch Fabric. The AMES Jacket is available in six striking colors, each designed to make a statement on the course. Thoughtful details like front pockets to keep hands dry, adjustable cuffs, and shaped sleeves ensure both comfort and practicality. For a bolder look, check out the hooded ARGUS in the Duck Green/Black color-blocked design.
Duca del Cosma

I’m a sucker for a stylish brogue. I’m an even bigger sucker for a stylish brogue with all the modern comfort features, which is why Duca del Cosma’s Bernardo speaks to me. While the upper of the Bernardo delivers in the fashion department, the Airplay 6 outsole makes this a serious golf shoe. Strategically positioned Softspikes® PULSAR® cleats, matched with secondary 5mm traction nubs on the outsole offer exceptional grip in winter’s wet conditions.
For protection against the worst that Mother Nature throws at you this season, consider Duca del Cosma’s unique Castello golf boot. The fleece lining brings the warmth and the Airplay 15 outsole delivers the traction. This boot performs as good as it looks on and off the course.

Nice poem & good picks for xmas.
