Collin’s collar, Jason’s shades, Scottie’s latest crime, and more. Greg breaks down the best and worst looks from the weekend at Valhalla.

Collin Morikawa (Adidas Golf)
There is something about Collin’s placket and collar that elevates this pedestrian white and black outfit to another level. The placket isn’t quite as open as we’ve seen on Keith Mitchell, but there is still a casual coolness to it, and the collar maintains its structure.
Jason Day (Malbon Golf & Pantyr)
Love it or hate it, Jason Day’s apparel selections have created a stir this year, but IMO, his sunglasses are the best part of his look. I just wish someone would make a pair of shades with a stylish frame, like this one, and a golf-specific lens.
Thorbjorn Olesen (Greyson Clothiers & FootJoy)
My favorite polo from Greyson’s spring collections is the Forever Alive Polo. Inspired by Savannah’s botanical motifs, this shirt is more versatile than it may seem on the surface. Pair it with Greyson’s Maltese Blue, Falcon Blue, Marsh Green, or Arctic White.
Thomas Detry (Boss & G/FORE)
How do you add interest and intrigue to a monochromatic black look? Add an orange glove, and then swap it out for a blue one later in the round.
Viktor Hovland (J.Lindeberg & Puma Golf)
I’m still a sucker for a JL bridge logo stretched across the upper back of a polo. Personally, I think Viktor would look great in some of the classic JL polos of the early aughts. Can we get a retro capsule collection? Please?
Harris English (Onward Reserve & FootJoy)
Brown belts and shoes are underutilized on the course, and this is an outfit that needs hits of brown. Besides, the classic brown saddle shoes complement the old-school chest pocket polo. Compare this to Alejandro Tosti below.
Fashion Crimes
Alejandro Tosti
Where to begin. First, this polo needs a darker pair of pants (think black or navy). Second, if you go with khaki pants, then a brown belt is a must. The black belt has too much contrast and the black shoes weigh down the entire ook.
Scottie Scheffler
I know it is a bit cringy to drop a Fashion Crime on Scottie, but what’s another misdemeanor at this point? An orange jumpsuit would have been more inspiring than this grey-on-beige combo. Sometimes you play the way you dress, and Scottie’s third-round 73 was on par with this fit. Some may call it, “The outfit that ended the grand slam.”
Xander Schauffele
Xander is a deserving champ, but I continue to be underwhelmed by his Descente threads. I had high hopes given that Danny Willett grabbed plenty of Dimes and a few Threadies during his time with the brand. I feel like Xander has the same four outfits on repeat, and this dirt brown and black fit is amongst his worst. Based on his wardrobe, it seems like the Descente golf collection lacks any breadth or depth. Plus, I want to hack off a couple of inches of fabric from the bottom of his pants.
Dean Burmester
Make it stop, already! With all the stacks that LIV is throwing around these days, you would think they could get better uniforms than this. Guys, call me. For a not-so-small fee I’ll get your uni situation straightened out.
Talor Gooch
I mean the hat doesn’t even complement the rest of it. Smh.
